Brother,
I am a fellow brother from Epsilon Delta and currently serve as secretary/treasurer on the international Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation Board of Trustees, president of Epsilon Delta's House Corporation and chairman of the UNT System Board of Regents.
As you are aware, we recently launched a campaign to build a permanent home for our chapter on the North Texas campus. You have heard this discussion for many decades and I have personally undertaken this current effort to ensure its success. I owe a great deal of my achievements to the lessons learned as an undergraduate brother of the Fraternity and know that you feel the same. The caliber of our chapter is very different from our days and we now have an opportunity to strengthen the positive influence on our young brothers.
To have a successful chapter, it takes man-power, solid risk management, financial planning and a beautiful house. Three out of four is unacceptable. You did not find your success by working hard only 75% of the time. The men of our chapter deserve more. They deserve the lifelong bond of a brotherhood that is built by sharing a living space with 20 of their closest friends.
You have been hearing about this project for some time now and we are asking you to make a commitment. As the campaign draws to a close, we are in the process of finalizing the plans with the university and must explore financing options; we need to know that we can count on your support.
A chapter house is the missing piece in securing Epsilon Delta's long-term stability and rightful place as one of the best chapters in the nation. We have raised over $720,000 toward our goal and I have personally committed to a gift of $250,000. I am asking for your commitment at a level that is important for you whether it is $1 or $50,000. Your gift can be completed over a 5 year pledge period. For example, a payment of $84/month over 5 years comes to a $5,000. Whatever amount you decide, every dollar is much needed and appreciated.
Our campaign comes to a close May 31. Therefore, we need you on board very soon at any level! Please officially join me and others in changing the future of our brotherhood by making your pledge or gift today.
